The Group has a distinguished history in the non banking finance sector.

After nationalization of the erstwhile United Bank of India, the Group along with its associates acquired United Credit Ltd (UCL), after taking control of majority shares. UCL today is a listed Bombay Stock Exchange company having over 5,000 individual shareholders.

Our Chairman, Mr Ravi Poddar was also one the co-promoters of Ashok Leyland Finance, part of the Ashok Leyland Group.

Today, our group company, United Credit & Development Co Ltd is a registered non banking finance company under the Reserve Bank of India.
